GRANGEWOOD MOTIF

Picture
Grangewood Motif   -   stable name 'Chloe', is a 12 YO Danish Warmblood by the dressage sire  'Mohican'.
This talented mare was the first horse the couple acquired together five years ago. Although barely 16 hh, this compact little horse is a real 'jumping machine'.  Well established in her flatwork and an absolute star in the showjumping arena, she started her eventing career at 'Intro' 4 years ago.   Selected for the 'Equine Pathway' scheme in 2007, competed to almost  'Advanced' level, Chloe is now owned and competed by junior rider Blaise Hawkins, based at Millfield School.

VELOCITY II

Picture
Velocity II   -   stable name 'Krunchie', is a 9 YO 16.3 hh KWPN Bay mare by  'Krunch de Breve',  a French stallion that was a pillar of strength in France's Nations Cup Showjumping Team.
A very capable and athletic mare, with three lovely paces, she excels both in Dressage and Showjumping  -  add these two facets to her ground covering, seemingly effortless length of stride, and she makes for a very exciting eventing prospect for the future.
Peter and Janine purchased this horse as a 4 YO at the Addington Showjumping Sales 5 years ago, and started her Eventing career the following year.
In the same year, this mare won 4th place in the Equimat "Stars of the Future" class at the British Showjumping Championships at Addington.
In April 2010, Janine competed her in the Petplan Winter Dressage Championships at Hartpury,  winning both the Open Elementary and Open Novice classes.
Velocity had a short break for embryo transfer, before continuing to compete in Dressage, showjumping and Evented at Intermediate level, having been selected last year for the 'Equine Pathway' scheme. This mare had a very successful summer, going on to the British Dressage Championships at Stoneleigh September 2010, where she became the National Restricted Elementary Champion. Later that year she competed in her first Home International winning the competition at Medium level. After finishing as runner-up at Medium Restricted British Dressage Winter Championships in 2011, Krunchie returned to Eventing.

MISS COBRALYN

December 2010 saw the arrival of 'Miss Cobralyn', a 3 YO black mare by the top showjumping sire 'Cobra', out of a 'Grannex' mare.
With the stable name of  'Missy', she is owned by Amanda James, wife of former England goalkeeper David James.
This recently backed little mare, although very green, soon demonstrated her aptitude for jumping, and underwent intensive flatwork  and jump training throughout the winter.  In the spring of 2011,  'Missy' was introduced to crosscountry schooling, and after a couple of local unaffiliated O.D.E.'s,  she competed in her very first BE event and qualified for the National 4 YO Young Horse Championships !
Her owner, Amanda James, is to compete her in 2012.
